Kangana Ranaut Takes A Dig At Those Advocating Ban On Firecrackers Ahead Of Diwali: Says ‘Walk To Your Office, Don't Use Cars For Three Days’
Actress Kangana Ranaut is known for expressing her opinions on social media. She often speaks her heart out via posts on her Instagram account. As the debate on banning firecrackers gains momentum ahead of Diwali, Kangana has expressed her disagreement and took a dig at those supporting the ban on firecrackers. In her post, the actress opined that environmental activists should instead stop using cars for some days to protect the environment. 

Taking to Instagram story, the Queen actress shared a video of Sadhguru wherein he shares his childhood memories of Diwali. He is seen talking about how he would look forward to light firecrackers months before Diwali and would save some for later as well. Sharing the clip, Kangana wrote, “He is the man who caused world record of green cover by planting millions of trees.” 

She added, “Perfect answer to all Diwali environment activists walk to your office don't use cars for three days.”

Kangana’s sharp post comes hours after Anil Kapoor’s daughter and filmmaker Rhea Kapoor slammed people for bursting firecrackers on Diwali. She penned a note calling out the tradition of bursting fireworks as ‘outdated’ and an ‘irresponsible’ part of the Diwali celebration. Rhea wrote, “Bursting crackers is not only dated but grossly ignorant, inconsiderate and irresponsible. Stop doing it, it’s so 19-never.”

Meanwhile, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had earlier announced a ban on firecrackers saying it was "essential to save lives".
